Using LaTeX/BibTeX

If you are using LaTeX to create your documents you will want to handle references and citations by using BibTeX...

The first step:
Create a .bib file, your bibliography database file, containing all the information about your references (eg myBibFile.bib).

BibTeX will format your citations and bibliography entries according to the bibliographic style you choose.
LaTeX installations come with numerous styles and others can be downloaded from this archive http://www.tug.org/tex-archive/biblio/bibtex/contrib/. Style files have the suffix .bst
