“This series of photos were taken on the 30th day of every month (except February). I stood on the same spot and took the same shot on the same location on south lawn. The idea was initiated on my 20th birthday which was on the 30th. The original thought was to capture my fondness and memories that floated around the lawn every month. However, within the past 13 months, significant adversities have happened to me; my whole life perspective was turned up side down. Eventually, these photos become the landscape upon which these changes were laid.

I realize that everything happens in its own time. There are things that we do and expect to be rewarded for, but success doesn't always happen. That job offer you wanted. The high grades you were sure you were going to pull off. The relationship seems to be eternal. When life doesn't work out, it's easy to lose perspective and blame our luck and become dejected. But there is a time for everything that happens in our lives, and when that time comes, things will start working the way they're supposed to.”

Exhibition located in the central stairwell, first floor of the Baillieu Library until 18 March 2005.
