East Asian Collection

The East Asian Collection is located on the 3rd floor of the Baillieu Library campus map (Melway 571 K10, building 177).

The East Asian Collection focuses on collecting materials in Chinese and Japanese languages. It contains a small English reference collection. The subject coverage of the collection is mainly in the areas of arts and humanities, social sciences and architectural history. It comprises books, periodicals and CD-ROMs.

The East Asian Collection services the information, research and teaching needs of Asia Institute as well as the Chinese Studies and Japanese Studies in the University of Melbourne.

The East Asian Collection is also a member of Asian Libraries in Melbourne.

The Collection also services the information needs of the wider community and therefore, members of the public are welcome to use its resources and facilities.
