The Artists in Schools program creates the opportunity for practising professional artists to work with young people in Victorian primary and secondary schools. It is funded by the Victorian State Government through the Department of Education and Training (DE&T) and is managed by Arts Victoria.

Artists maintain a diary describing their project and comment on their experience as artists working in the school environment.  Each school furnishes a brief report outlining the aims of the project and how these aims were achieved.  The artists' diaries are held in the Education Resource Centre, University of Melbourne.

Artists in Schools reports, an information booklet and funding applications are available from Arts Victoria.
