Information LiteracyThe Librarian gives various Orientation tours and Information Literacy sessions, including individual help with using the catalogues and databases. Undergraduates are offered library classes at the beginning of each year, to increase their skills in information and resource gathering. PhotocopyingThe Library is supported by Unicard Photocopy services. Cards may be purchased from the card dispenser in the Library. The cost of purchasing a card is $2.00. They are rechargeable, and accept coins and notes from 20c to $50.. The card is common to other Melbourne University Library Branches. All photocopying must be done in accordance with the Copyright Act, and relevant sections of the Act are displayed near the photocopier. Lending Services
Document DeliveryThis service is available to University of Melbourne staff and postgraduate students, for books and articles not owned by the University of Melbourne. There is a handling fee for all interlibrary loan requests. This is payable by departmental account number or by cash before the transaction is made. Items may be obtained from overseas, but this may entail additional charges. There are separate request forms for books and for photocopied articles. college and university libraries in Victoria. There is no fee. CAVAL borrowers from other institutions need to bring their home institution ID and a current CAVAL card issued by their home library.
