The Pamir

The Pamir

Built at Hamburg, 1905, of 2799 tons

One of the famous P. line of German ships owned by Laiesz of Hamburg which traded regularly in the nitrate trade, Hamburg to the West Coast of South America, sold to Captain Ericson in 1931, and placed in the Australian grain trade. Won the wheat ships race in 1932. The picture shows her leaving Sydney laden with wheat in 1934.
