MCUG - Mission Statement

The Map Collection Users' Group (MCUG) is comprised of members of staff from academic departments and the library with an interest in maps and GIS data.

The aims of MCUG are to:

• Provide input into the activities of the Map Collection through consultation, general discussion and through participation in the development of the Collection’s annual plan and such policies as the Maps Collection Policy.



• Serve as a pro-active conduit of information about the Map Collection to the broader University community.



• Act as a source of feedback regarding Map Collection services.



• Provide a focal point for discussions on the development and management of collections of maps and geographic information within the University.
