The Cultural Collections Reading Room is located on the third floor of the Baillieu Library, Professors' Walk, Parkville Campus.

Guide to the Cultural Collections Reading Room
Opening Hours
Monday-Friday: 9:30 am-5:30 pm
Wednesday: 9:30 am-7:30 pm
Saturday: 1:00 pm-5:00 pm (February-November) when the Baillieu Library is open
Closed Easter Saturday, Sundays and some public holidays.
Accessing Materials
Material from Special Collections is not available for loan. Instead, it can be consulted in the Cultural Collections Reading Room, located on the third floor of the Baillieu Library.
All Special Collections material must be pre-requested for delivery to the Cultural Collections Reading Room at the following times:
Monday-Friday
- 10:00 am
- 12:00 noon
- 2:00 pm
- 4:00 pm
Requests for material can be made online prior to visiting the Reading Room. To request material, please use our online request form. Requests will be accepted up to thirty minutes prior to delivery time. Material required for Saturday must be requested by 3:30 pm Friday. Your material will be available to view in the Cultural Collections Reading Room at the time you have requested, unless otherwise notified.
Please note: items with the status 'UniM Bund' on the Library catalog are held in off-site storage and require 3-4 working days notice for retrieval.
