Artists' Books/ Book Arts
Special Collections holds a collection of Artists' Books. The majority are Australian made and more particulary made by Melbourne Artists.
The Collection aims to demonstrate the history and development of Artists’ Books both within Australia and Internationally.
Modern Artists’ Books began appearing in the early to mid 1960s in North America and Europe with the work of Ed Ruscha and Dietor Roth, but quickly took on in Australia.
