Cambridge Collected: The Pierre Gorman Story
A Special Collections exhibition featuring the Cambridge Collection of Dr Pierre Gorman will take place in the Leigh Scott Gallery, first floor, Baillieu Library from 20 March to 30 May 2008.
This collection, now comprising about 2,500 volumes, consists of books about Cambridge University and the city of Cambridge dating from the 16th century to the present. The collection was partly purchased from, and partly donated by, Dr Pierre Gorman.
Significant additions to the collection were donated by Dr Gorman on an ongoing basis, and donations from other collectors have also been accepted. The collection has grown in the last few years from about 700 volumes to its present size and is now a collection of world wide significance.
