Godfrey Howitt Entomology Collection
This is a small collection of entomology books, mostly from the 19th century, which was donated to the university by Godfrey Howitt (1800-73).
A widely respected botanist and entomologist, Howitt migrated to Melbourne
with his family in 1840. He was associated with the Melbourne Hospital and
served on the Council of the University of Melbourne.

The collection is listed in a card catalogue located in the Baillieu Library's Special Collections Reading Room.
