The Library Store is a closed collection of low-use material housed off-site.

The Library Store contains over 120,000 volumes of low-use material.

Catalogues:

Library material held in the Library Store is listed in the Library's online catalogue.  On the catalogue 'copy availability' screen this material is recognisable by the location name,"UniM Store".

Storage Call numbers:

Most material transferred to the Store is given a Store running number (e.g. F2252) in place of the usual library Call Number. Some collections that have been moved to the Store (e.g., a large proportion of the Engineering journals) are housed separately and retain their original call numbers.

Borrowing from the Library Store:

If you wish to borrow items from the Store collection you can use the 'Request' button above the catalogue record and follow the on-screen instructions.
The requested material will be retrieved and made available at the selected Library Loans Desk for loan in the normal manner.
The loan period is usually 28 days.
Store retrievals take 1-3 working days.
