Online resources
Academic staff, distance students and on-campus students at all levels have 24-hour online access to most of the library's electronic resources when they are away from campus. All that is needed is access to the internet at home or at work. Online resources include:

Browse selected, quality on-line resources, including electronic journals, electronic and Internet databases, and web sites. Using your surname and library barcode number to log in to electronic resources you are automatically authenticated and granted online access to the full range of electronic resources for the duration of the current online session

During branch opening hours, subject librarians are available for telephone consultations. Outside these hours, you may email a query.

Reciprocal borrowing - CAVALand National Borrowing Scheme
The University participates in the CAVAL and National reciprocal borrowing schemes, which give you access to the libraries of other universities.
Approved borrowers/letters of indemnity
If you live near another University, it may be possible to obtain "approved borrower" status at their library. This will grant you access to their collections. Contact your branch library for more information.
Not available off campus!
Physical, legal, financial, contractual and copyright obligations dictate that some resources can only be accessed while on campus. These include materials held on reserve desks, journals which are only available in printed hard copy, microforms, and some electronic resources such as standalone CD-ROMS. However,the library will always endeavour to provide away-from-campus access to as many resources as possible.
