- SuperSearch - the University's gateway to thousands of e-journals,
hundreds of scholarly databases and other electronic resources subscribed to by the
University of Melbourne Library.

- Subject and Resource Sets compiled by subject librarians may be browsed
- Individual databases may be searched directly. It is recommende that Research students use individual databases to access advanced searching functionality, .e.g. limiting to peer-reviewed journals, material type, access to online thesauru etc.
- Multi Database Search can be used to search up to eight databases at once. To locate a specific electronic journal or database use the find e-journal or find database tabs (animated demonstrations).
- Use the My Stuff tab to set up your own literature searching space. Bookmark your favourite resources there, save your search results, and set up email alerts.

- Library Catalogue - lists books (including e-books), print journals, dvds & videos, maps and University of melbourne theses. Also lists "Reserve" materials for coursework subjects.
- UMER - search, browse and download open-access University of Melbourne research papers, including a small collection of theses.
