Style Notes
- The full title of the journal, (as it appears on the title page) should be italicised.
- For journals organised by volume number, the year of publication should appear in parentheses (round brackets).
- For journals organised by year, the relevant year should appear in square brackets.
- Italicise the name of the journal/publication and volume number.
- Capitalise the first and all major words of the publication name. Give the publication name in full. e.g. Harvard Law Review.
- Capitalise the article title as follows - first word of title and subtitle and proper names and proper adjectives. e.g. Still moving: Between cinema and photography.
- Give the volume number of journals, magazines and newsletters.
- The name of the article needs to have smartquotes (single quotaton marks)either side of it.
- Citation includes the starting page of the article only, not the page range.
- Author’s name must include a comma after it.
- The full title of the journal should not be abbreviated.
- ‘The’ should not be included at the start of a journal title.
