Lost library items
Reporting a lost library item
If you've lost an item, report it to us so we can enable you to start borrowing again as soon as possible. Items not reported will remain on your record and overdue restrictions will be applied. Restrictions mean you can't borrow, get your results, graduate or re-enrol.
Once reported we will generate an invoice for the replacement of the item immediately. Items that have been invoiced will appear in your record as a fine. Simply pay the fine to lift all restrictions.
For items borrowed through Interlibary Loans or BONUS+ please contact Interlibary Loans first. The amount can be paid at a library service desk once the replacement charge has been calculated. No replacement items will be accepted.

Replacement items
You can choose to supply the library with a new replacement item or an item in good condition (must be the same edition or later) and the replacement cost will be deducted from your invoice but you will still incur the billing fee. However, we reserve the right to not accept a replacement copy that is in poor condition or does not satisfactorily match the item that was lost.
