Library mail
We send mail to the email address in your library record. We mainly send reminders, overdue alerts, collection notices for requests, and recalls. We also send emails about inter-library and BONUS+ requests. All of our email notifications are sent automatically from the library system so please don't reply.
If you wish to contact the library about mail you received please visit the Contact Us page.
Reminders, overdue alerts, request collection, recalls
We send you library emails to help you keep track of items you have borrowerd and requested, however if you don't receive one our emails you are still responsible for all overdues or fines incurred.
Reminders
We send you one reminder email before your items are due.
Overdue alerts
We send you several email alerts over time if you have an overdue item. Once you receive an overdue alert you are blocked from borrowing and renewing items.
We send the first email alert for 28 and 90 day loans 7 days past the due date.
We send the first overdue alert for all other items as soon as it is overdue. ie. the day after it was due for a daily loan item or after the item has been overdue for more than 1 hour for hourly loans.
Request collection
When you request an item we email you when it is ready to collect.
Recalls
We send recall emails if you have a 90 day loan item and someone else places a hold on it. Your item may have a new due date that replaces the date given when you borrowed the item.
Email addresses
Student and staff email addresses are automatically placed in your record.
If you want library emails delivered to another address please see the Student IT website for information on how to forward your emails.
