Every registered user has a patron record on the library's computer system (Innopac). This contains information relating to identity and type of borrower and can be viewed by the patron using a public access terminal (OPAC) in the library, through telnet, or by web access. Any information that is incorrect needs to be brought to the attention of loans staff.

The following options are available when viewing your circulation record:

Displaying Checked-out Items
The message CUR CHKOUT indicates the number of checked out items (borrowed). For information regarding the titles, barcode, call numbers, and due date choose C. This option will also allow you to renew items. Items overdue, on hold, or recalled, are not renewable and will have an appropriate message next to them.

Displaying Holds
Choose H to display the holds you have placed. If the item is still on loan the due date will appear next to the information, otherwise, if it has been returned, a pickup location will be named. If more than one hold is placed on the item it will say 2 Holds of 2 which means you are second in line for the book. The borrowing period reduces to one week if there is more than one hold on an item.

Displaying Fines
The MONEY OWED message indicates fines and fees incurred on overdue items that have been returned. For more detailed information regarding incurred fines choose F. See also Fines and Penalties for information about fine charges and fine payment.

You will be prompted to enter your name and the barcode number on your card.

If a returned item remains on the record then bring to the attention of staff at the loans desk. It could mean the item has been returned without being checked in, and a search needs to be done.
