Reserve collections
What can be found in Reserve?
Items in the reserve collections are those that lecturers and tutors consider to be in high demand. Collections, of various size, can be found in all branch libraries, and change in content throughout the year.
On the catalogue choose R > RESERVE lists from the main menu, then enter your course title, course code or lecturer name to see a list of materials. Location and availability information will be displayed.
Who can use the reserve collection?
Borrowing is restricted to staff and students of the University of Melbourne. See borrowing table for list of those eligible to borrow books on reserve.
Who can place material in reserve and Online?
Lecturers and tutors can place material on reserve, under a listing for their subject.

How long can you borrow Reserve material for?
Reserve items can be borrowed for either 2 hours or overnight.
Fines and penalties
There are different fines and penalties for overdue items.
Fines owing, or overdue books, will prevent you borrowing from the reserve collections.
