Using the reserve collection
Available to staff and students of the University of Melbourne and affiliated institutions.
| Open Access | Enabling users to search for specific high use items, or browse the shelves. |
| Borrowing | The borrowing period of 2 hours or overnight is marked on the books, or can be viewed on the online catalogue. Overnight loans need to be returned 2-3 hours before closing time on the following day to ensure they are checked in without delay. |
| Returning | All reserve books (overnight and 2 hour loans) should be returned to the specially marked reserve return chutes located at the reserve desk |
| Photocopying | Photocopy facilities are available within the open access area. |
| Fines | Fines and penalties apply to reserve books kept overdue. |

Study desks are not available within the open access collection. Users are encouraged to photocopy or borrow required material.
